Hi martyna, hopefully see you at the next one :-) Hi dee, i rarely sleep these days it seems. Hi flick, glad you enjoyed the cocktails. Hi nic, definitely like a mulled wine and very easy to drink Hi flick, if you're going to have a cocktail it might has well be lethal too :-) Hi kerancia, i think most of us would have had a sugar overload Hi misspiggy, i might have to think about that as a career move perhaps :-) Hi joey, hope to see you at the next one. Hi beyondbourkestreet, your cake looked awesome. Hi sara, hopefully i'll do the pop up bar next time and you're not driving as well :-) I hope everyone had a good time and I look forward to meeting you at the next meetup. It was a fun day to catchup with lots of bloggers and put faces to new ones I haven't met before. Banana lollies, mint chews and jaffas have never looked so cool. I think the most inventive eat of the day goes to the Candy Bug (pictured above) made by Sara and Joshua from Belly Rumbles. The Simon Food Favourites Pop Up Bar was created with two small tables and served the Hendrick's Gin & Tonic with fresh cucumber and the Maker's Mark punch known as Samuels Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice (recipe below) which even the non-whisky fans admittedly enjoyed once they tried. With the kind donation by Steve Stammers ( Weber Shandwick) and Cida Wen (William Grant & Sons) for 3 bottles of Hendrick's Gin and Charlotte Ferrand ( Burson-Marsteller) for 3 bottles of Maker's Mark I was set to make two of my favourite drinks I discovered in 2011. Having minimum cooking skills I resorted to bringing the one thing I knew I could do - making cocktails. You honor us with the sharing of your knowledge, Simon.ġ:: Please give a brief history/cultural overview of the Mantids.Ģ:: Please give a brief history/cultural overview of the Alpha Draconis.Mother nature was thankfully very kind for the Sydney Food Bloggers Picnic organised by Chocolatesuze and Grab Your Fork providing a miraculous break from the wet weather. I just know we can do it, i've seen it before Just some ideas, take what you want and ditch the rest We could use the thanks button to mean that we agree with someone else's post, instead of adding a few words of agreement while quoting large posts This helps save space on the pages and creates some rest for our overburdened scroll-finger Let's contribute to the thread in a positive manner only, have nothing positive to contribute? Then lets not create the reply at all If you don't agree to something, please still respect someone elses opinions/ideas/experiences and let's not feel the need to convince eachother of anything. Let's not make this thread into one where we bicker about who's opinions/ideas/experiences are better. If we want to make a quality thread out of this one, let's contribute with replies that add more than just a few words, especially while quoting other peoples elongated contributions in our posts I hope everyone who posts here will be respectful and leave their egos at the door. I have some ideas to hopefully manifest another very high quality thread out of this one Uh oh! This might generate an influx of new members
